HomeRunner vs Boostly

Boostly builds a WordPress site for you on its own hosting, connects your PMS, and bundles coaching, a community and a GoHighLevel CRM that emails past guests to rebook. HomeRunner is a booking platform that adds to a website you own and host, priced as a flat monthly tier. They differ on who owns the install, who edits it, and what the monthly fee buys.

The short version

Two good answers to different questions.

Pick Boostly if

you want someone else to build the site, you value the training and community as much as the website, and you want rebooking emails running from day one.1819

Ours

Pick HomeRunner if

you want to own and edit your own site, choose your own host, pay a flat fee for the booking engine, and keep the integration when you leave.515

Side by side

Eight criteria, both products.

CriterionHomeRunnerBoostly
01PMS depthNine PMSs. Reservations created in the PMS; checkout on your domain on four connections, PMS-hosted on the rest.127+ PMSs claimed. Connect reads from and writes to the PMS; payment goes through the PMS’s own gateway.2
02ConversionSearch, map, live quotes, extras, on-site checkout. AI search, rate comparison, trip planner as paid add-ons.3Real-time availability and pricing, reviews with guest messaging, upsells and fee presentation in Connect, booking dashboard. No search bar, map search or live-quote widget found on their pages.4
03OwnershipYour site, domain, content and data on your host. Cancel and the site stays; the booking engine stops.5“You own your site.” The files are yours after the setup fee and are handed over in a Dropbox folder within 14 days of leaving. Theme, plugins and code are licensed only while hosted by Boostly; PMS connection, premium plugins and CRM end on departure.6
04Continuous improvementOne codebase, same release everywhere. At least 276 dated public changelog entries between mid-July and 10 October 2026.7A public roadmap page. Site changes after launch are billed.8
05EditabilityYour own site editor plus a Template Customizer (Conversion Kit add-on) for HomeRunner page sections. Your team edits.9Elementor with JetEngine, fixed site structure. Text changes go through support, unlimited for 30 days after launch; further revision rounds $500 each, post-launch changes $500 a day.10
06Any websiteAdds to the site you already have, no rebuild. WordPress and custom-coded sites today; Squarespace and Webflow in early access.11A new WordPress build on Boostly’s servers. A free Connect plugin tier (up to 10 listings) installs into an existing WordPress site.12
07AI readinessMachine-readable property pages, AI sitemap, read counts, attributed bookings. Included.13No AI-search claims for the website. AI products are operational: content, social, voice agents. Terms warrant no ranking or traffic.14
0812-month cost$540 at 5 listings, $1,140 at 15, $2,100 at 25, flat, plus your hosting.15Build price and monthly fee not public; set in your proposal. Membership without a website is $97 a month.16
Twelve-month cost counts the software only. Boostly includes hosting in a price it does not publish; HomeRunner’s price excludes your hosting.Run your own numbers Sources

The guarantee

The 65% guarantee, read closely.

Boostly’s homepage promises 65% direct bookings within 12 months or your money back plus $1,000. The contract defines it more narrowly, and says it overrides the advertising. The refund is the setup fee only, excluding monthly fees. The $1,000 is a Boostly Allowance, a credit against future Boostly products. The share is measured once at month twelve. Eligibility has ten conditions, including at least two email campaigns and four social posts a month through the Boostly CRM, every Vault training completed, and a coaching session a month. Claims go in writing within 30 days of the period ending. The $97 membership carries no guarantee.17

HomeRunner offers no performance guarantee. We publish the rate card, the changelogs and the read and booking counts from the AI Booking Channel, and the site is yours whatever the numbers do.

Where each one wins

Where Boostly wins, where HomeRunner wins, where we lose.

Where Boostly wins

  • Training and community. Eighty hours across 48 modules, coaching with the founder, a 2,000-host community.18
  • A rebooking CRM in the box. Past-guest emails, review requests and upsell follow-ups fire from GoHighLevel on every booking. HomeRunner leaves email to your PMS or an email tool.19
  • Someone else builds it, and the build team is available within about 24 hours on weekdays.10
  • Twenty-seven PMS logos against our nine.2
  • A free Connect tier for up to ten listings on an existing WordPress site, and a published guarantee with the conditions above.1217

Where HomeRunner wins

  • You own the install, not a licence to it. Leave HomeRunner and the site keeps working on your host. Leave Boostly and the plugins, PMS connection and CRM licence end.56
  • Your host. Boostly builds only on its own servers and does not edit or build on client hosting.10
  • Your team edits. Boostly routes text changes through support and bills revision rounds at $500.10
  • A flat, published price at every size to 300 listings. Boostly’s price lives in the proposal.1516
  • A booking engine with search, map, live quotes and checkout on your domain, plus read counts and attributed bookings from AI assistants. Boostly’s pages describe PMS-gateway checkout and no search product.1413

Where we lose

  • No coaching, no community, no CRM. Operators who want direct booking taught to them get that from Boostly and not from us.
  • No done-for-you option at a published price. A studio build from Hudson Creative Studio is a quoted project, from a $5,500 minimum budget listed under Hire an Expert.
  • Four PMS connections hand the payment step to the PMS-hosted page.1
  • Nine PMSs. If yours is Smoobu, Uplisting, Tokeet or another on Boostly’s list, we do not connect today.2
  • No guarantee of any kind.

Switching

Looking for a Boostly alternative, or moving from Boostly?

The operators who come to us from Boostly want to edit their own site, host it where they choose, or get a booking engine that keeps the whole journey on the page.

What moves

Your PMS data was never on the website, so listings, rates, availability and reviews sync to the new site on day one. Your domain is yours; Boostly’s terms say you register and own it. Content, photos and written copy are yours and arrive in the Dropbox handover. Guest data in the Boostly CRM is released on written request to Boostly within 30 days.620

What we rebuild

The site itself. Boostly’s theme, plugins and PMS connection are licensed to its hosting and do not transfer, so the site is rebuilt on your host as a site you own: a pre-built site from Hudson Creative Studio ($2,000), a bespoke WordPress build by Hudson Creative Studio, or a build by a partner studio under Hire an Expert. The content comes across; the code does not.6

How the first month works

Give Boostly 30 days’ written notice and request the file handover. In parallel, we stand up the new site on your host, connect your PMS, import reviews where the connection supports it, and stage everything on a temporary domain. Setup help is unlimited and there are no fees until the new site is live. On launch day DNS moves to the new site. Nothing in your PMS changes.1520

Frequently asked

The questions that come up on calls.

Have a situation these do not cover? Tell us about your portfolio and we will say which option fits, including the one that is not ours.

Is Boostly cheaper than HomeRunner?

We cannot say. Boostly does not publish the build price or the monthly fee for the website; both are set in your proposal. HomeRunner’s rate card is public: $45 a month up to five listings, $95 up to fifteen, plus your hosting. Sources 15, 16

Do I own a Boostly website?

You own the files after the setup fee, and Boostly hands them over within 14 days of leaving. The theme, plugins and code are licensed only while the site is hosted by Boostly, and the PMS connection and CRM end when you go, per their terms. Source 6

Does HomeRunner have a direct booking guarantee?

No. We publish prices, changelogs and your own AI read and booking counts instead.

Can I keep using Boostly’s CRM with a HomeRunner site?

That is a question for Boostly, since the CRM licence is tied to their hosting in the terms we read. GoHighLevel itself can be licensed directly. Source 6

Does HomeRunner connect to as many PMSs as Boostly?

No. Nine against Boostly’s 27 claimed. Eight have pages in our integrations directory with what each connection supports; Boom is in the feature matrix and docs while its page is built. Sources 1, 2

Does a HomeRunner site have to be WordPress like a Boostly site?

No. HomeRunner adds to the website you already have: WordPress and custom-coded sites today, Squarespace and Webflow in early access. If a studio rebuilds your Boostly site, Hudson Creative Studio builds it in WordPress on your own host. Source 11
