Getting Started with Homerunner Plugin

This guide will help you get started with using the Homerunner Plugin for WordPress. Follow these steps to begin managing your property rentals effectively.

Prerequisites #

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • A WordPress website (version 5.0 or higher)
  • Homerunner Plugin installed and activated
  • API key from your HomeRunner Customer Dashboard: log in, click your profile icon in the top-right corner, then choose Settings. Your API key is listed there with a copy button.
  • Property Management System (PMS) integration configured

Quick Start Guide #

  1. Configure Your Plugin
    • Navigate to Homerunner Settings in your WordPress dashboard
    • Enter your API key (copied from your Customer Dashboard under your profile icon > Settings)
    • Configure your PMS integration settings
    • Save your settings
  2. Add Your First Property Properties are automatically synchronized from your PMS through the Homerunner API. Once configured:
    • Properties will appear in your WordPress dashboard
    • Images, descriptions, and pricing will be imported automatically
    • Availability calendars will be synchronized
  3. Display Properties Use any of these methods to showcase your properties:
    • Add the Explorer Block to any page for a filterable property grid
    • Use individual Property Blocks for specific listings
    • Implement shortcodes in your content
    • Add Elementor widgets if using the Elementor page builder
  4. Set Up Booking System
    • Add the Booking Widget to property pages
    • Configure calendar display settings
    • Set up email notifications
    • Test the booking process
  5. Customize Your Display Adjust how properties are displayed using:
    • Block editor controls
    • Shortcode parameters
    • Elementor widget settings
    • Theme customization options
