# Cancellation field overwritten by Guesty sync

Text you enter manually in the per-property cancellation field on the WordPress property edit screen is cleared on the next property sync.

**Why this happens.** Every property sync rewrites that field with data from Guesty.

**What you can do.** To set a cancellation policy that persists, use one of these options:

1. For a site-wide policy, use **HomeRunner > Settings > Reservation**.
2. Store the policy text in a Guesty custom field and configure HomeRunner to read from that field.
