# Renaming amenities and the Guesty sync

You can change an amenity's **Name** field in WordPress without breaking the sync with Guesty.

**Why this works.** The PMS sync uses the **Slug** field, not the **Name** field, to match amenities to properties. As long as you leave the **Slug** unchanged, renamed amenities keep their property assignments through future syncs.
