# Guesty connection shows expired or invalid token

If the HomeRunner connection to Guesty suddenly stops working, or Central shows the token as expired or invalid, the cause is most often a change on the Guesty side.

**Why this happens.** Usually your Guesty account has been canceled or downgraded. When a Guesty account is closed, HomeRunner can no longer connect to it, even though the connection record on the HomeRunner side still exists.

**What you can do.** The connection can only be restored once your Guesty account is active again. If you are moving from Guesty to a different property management system, HomeRunner can connect your new system for you instead.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
