# Google Map on property pages not loading

The Google Map on your property pages does not load. Instead, you see a grey box or a 'This page can't load Google Maps correctly' watermark.

**Why this happens.** The Google Cloud project behind your Google Maps API key does not have billing enabled. Google requires an active billing profile, even though most vacation rental sites stay within the free tier and are never actually charged.

**How to fix it.**

1. Sign in to the Google account that owns your Maps API key.
2. Follow Google's walkthrough to enable billing on the project: [https://support.google.com/googleapi/answer/6158867](https://support.google.com/googleapi/answer/6158867)
3. Once billing is active, the maps work again automatically. No changes to your site are needed.
