# Guesty fees missing from website totals

Your website shows a lower total than Guesty for the same stay. Some additional fees are missing and the taxes are lower.

**Why this happens.** This is not a sync problem. In Guesty, additional fees can be set to apply when a reservation is created without being included in the quotes Guesty sends to the Booking Engine API, which is what your website uses for pricing. The tax difference is a consequence of the missing fees, not a separate issue. Guesty calculates taxes on the fee-inclusive subtotal, so once the fees flow through to the website quote, the taxes line up automatically.

**What you can do.** To include a fee in website quotes:

1. In Guesty, go to **Financials > Additional Fees**.
2. Edit the fee.
3. Make sure it is applied to the booking engine / online channel.

**Credit card processing fees.** Some property managers intentionally leave the card surcharge off direct website bookings as a book-direct incentive. Decide whether you want it online before changing the setting.

In some cases Guesty's API does not reliably reflect this channel-scoping change even after it is set correctly. If fees still do not appear on your website after you enable them for the booking engine, contact support.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
