# Guesty sync overwrites Property Type and Amenities

Changes you make to Property Type or Amenities directly in WordPress are replaced after the next sync with Guesty.

**Why this happens.** Your website mirrors Guesty on every sync, so synced fields such as Property Type and Amenities are overwritten with the Guesty data.

**What you can do.** To make changes that survive syncing, use Guesty custom fields instead of editing in WordPress. Custom fields travel with the sync rather than being overwritten by it.
