# No Index SEO warning after launch

You may see a 'No Index' SEO warning banner in your WordPress admin after your new site launches. This does not mean your live site is hidden from search engines.

**Why this happens.** The banner is usually a leftover notice from the staging environment where the site was built. Staging sites are intentionally hidden from search engines while under construction, and that saved notice can carry over when the finished site is moved to your live domain.

**How to confirm your site can be indexed.**

1. Go to **Settings → Reading** and make sure **Discourage search engines from indexing this site** is unchecked.
2. View your homepage source and look for a robots meta tag containing "index, follow".

If both checks pass, the banner is stale. You can dismiss it with the X, and it does not affect your search presence. If either check shows a problem, contact support.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
