# Feature search returns all listings

Typing a feature name such as 'pizza oven' into the search bar can return all listings instead of filtering by that feature.

**Why this happens.** The **WHAT** field in the search bar has three modes: **Describe**, **Filter**, and **By name**. Text typed in **Describe** mode is free text and does not filter results.

**What you can do.** To filter by a feature, use the **Filter** tab (amenity checkboxes synced from your PMS) or the quick chips below the search bar. If you see a large number of results, check whether a quick chip is active, because its criteria are applied to all results.
