# Guesty travel insurance added to every quote

Every quote on your website includes travel insurance, even when the guest has not chosen it.

**Why this happens.** When the **Booking Engine API** channel is turned on for a fee in Guesty, Guesty includes that fee in every quote it sends through the API, regardless of the guest's choice.

**What to do.** To keep travel insurance optional, leave the **Booking Engine API** channel unchecked on the travel insurance fee and rely on the upsell setting instead.
