# Map search checkbox hidden or unchecked on load

When the **Search As Move Default** module is enabled, the **Search as I Move the Map** checkbox appears unchecked or hidden when the page first loads.

**Why this happens.** This is intentional behavior of the **Search As Move Default** module in the HomeRunner Toolkit. The module waits for the visitor's first real map interaction (a drag, pinch, or zoom) before turning the checkbox on. Turning it on at page load would immediately narrow the visible property count to only the homes in the initial map frame, before the visitor has done anything, which could silently reduce the results they see.

As of HomeRunner Toolkit 3.156.0, the checkbox is also hidden until that first map interaction, and then appears already checked. A hidden checkbox before any map movement is normal, and a checked box right after the first drag or pinch is normal.

**What you can do.** If you prefer the standard always-visible checkbox that visitors turn on themselves, disable the **Search As Move Default** module in the **Toolkit Hub**.
