# Conversion Kit visit tracking returns 429

Some requests to **POST /wp-json/hrck/v1/track/visit** return a 429 response for some of your visitors.

**Why this happens.** The 429 response is deduplication behavior. The Conversion Kit records one visit per visitor per page URL per 60 seconds. If a visitor reloads a page or navigates back to the same page within a minute, the request returns 429 and the first visit is kept. There is also a cap of 120 visits per IP address in 5 minutes, which applies to shared networks. In the normal case, no visit data is lost.

**What you can do.** Update to Conversion Kit 1.147.5 or later. From that version, a repeat visit within a minute returns 200 instead of 429.
