# Widget shows English after choosing Spanish

Your widget shows English text even though you want it in Spanish.

**Why this happens.** The built-in Spanish strings apply only when the widget's locale is set explicitly. While **Use Auto Detected Locale** is on, visitors see the English defaults plus anything you typed manually in the **Translations** panel, even if their browser is set to Spanish.

**To fix it:**

1. Open the widget in the dashboard.
2. Go to **Advanced > Language Settings**.
3. Turn **Use Auto Detected Locale** OFF.
4. Set **Locale** to **Spanish (Spain) es_ES**.
5. Save.
