# SVG logo upload rejected as unsafe

When you upload an SVG logo, the upload fails with the message "This SVG could not be sanitized safely and was rejected." The file itself is likely fine.

**Why this happens.** AI Concierge versions up to 1.161.15 include an SVG safety check that rejects any SVG beginning with an XML comment. Adobe Illustrator always adds one ("Generator: Adobe Illustrator ...") right after the first line. This triggers the rejection even though the file contains no scripts or external references.

**The fix.** A fix ships in AI Concierge 1.161.16. Once your site is updated, the upload works with no changes to the file.

**Until the update is installed.** Either workaround below resolves the issue.

1. Edit the file manually. Open the .svg in a plain-text editor and delete the line that starts with `<!-- Generator: Adobe Illustrator`. It sits between the `<?xml ...?>` line and the `<svg` line. Save the file and upload it again.
2. Re-export from Illustrator with colors on the shapes. Go to **File > Export > Export As > SVG**, and under **Styling** choose **Presentation Attributes**.

**Why Presentation Attributes matters.** The safety check also removes `<style>` blocks. A logo whose colors live in a `<style>` block will upload but render in default black. If you used the manual edit (option 1) and the logo turns black, re-export with **Presentation Attributes**, or move each `fill` value from the `<style>` rule onto the matching shapes.

**All-white logos.** The media library thumbnail sits on a light background, so a white-on-transparent SVG looks blank in the library even when it uploaded correctly. Place it on a dark section of the page to confirm it is rendering as expected.
