# Listing address unchanged after renaming in PMS

You renamed a property in your PMS and the page heading and page title updated, but the listing's web address still shows the old long headline.

**Why this happens.** A listing's web address is set once, the first time that listing syncs from your PMS into the website. It is built from the listing's name at that exact moment. After that first sync the address is locked and does not change. This is intentional, so that links you have already shared or printed, and links Google has indexed, keep working.

If a listing first synced while its name still carried a long headline, it keeps that long address permanently, even after you tidy the name. The page heading and page title do follow the renamed value on the next sync, which is why those look right while the address does not.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
