# OwnerRez widget shows “Couldn’t calculate rates”

Your booking widget shows the message "Couldn't calculate rates for these dates" instead of displaying prices.

**Why this happens.** This message comes from OwnerRez itself, not from the website. It means OwnerRez has no nightly rate covering the requested nights for that property, so it cannot price the stay. The website passes the OwnerRez answer through live, so the fix happens entirely in OwnerRez.

**Finding the gap.** In OwnerRez, open **Properties → (the affected property) → Rates** and check the rates calendar. Any nights that show no rent amount are the gap.

**Adding rates.** Enter nightly amounts per season under **Rates → Seasonal Rates → Setup & Configure**. Make sure coverage extends through all dates guests can search.

**If you use a dynamic pricing tool.** If a dynamic pricing tool such as PriceLabs, Beyond, or Wheelhouse manages your other listings, add the affected properties to that tool instead. The tool pushes nightly rates into OwnerRez automatically. In that case, do not enter rates by hand in OwnerRez, because the tool will overwrite them.

**Avoid weekly-only rates without prorating.** Do not use weekly-only rates with prorating set to **None**. That configuration only quotes exact 7-night stays and produces this same error for every other stay length.

**Several units with shared pricing.** If several sibling units share pricing, follow these steps:

1. Configure the rates on one unit.
2. Verify that the unit quotes correctly.
3. Use **Batch Copy Rates** in OwnerRez to copy the setup to the other units.

No changes or cache clearing are needed on the website. Quotes are calculated live, and the widget starts pricing as soon as rates exist in OwnerRez.
