# YOOtheme Pro page renders blank after copying

A new YOOtheme Pro page shows nothing at all: no hero, no layout sections, no shortcodes. This can happen when the page was created by copying another page's content.

**Why this happens.** YOOtheme stores your page layout as a JSON string inside the page content, and that JSON relies on escaped characters. When a YOOtheme Pro layout is duplicated or created through an automated process rather than through the WordPress editor, those special characters can be stripped. The JSON then becomes invalid and YOOtheme cannot parse the layout, so the page renders empty even though the content technically exists.

**How it is resolved.** The fix is to correct the character encoding of the layout data. Once the encoding is corrected, the page displays correctly with all sections, the hero image, and property listings intact.
