# New listing missing from a category page

A new listing shows up in the main accommodation search but does not appear on a specific category page.

**Why this happens.** Category pages on your website show only the listings that carry a matching tag in your property management system (PMS). The main accommodation search shows every live listing. If a new listing is created without the tag that a category page filters on, the listing appears in the full search but not on that page.

**How to fix it.** The fix is made in your PMS, not on the website.

1. Find a listing that displays correctly on the category page and note the tag it carries.
2. Open the new listing in your PMS.
3. Add the same tag that the other listings on that category page already carry.

The change syncs through to the website on its own. No edits are needed on the website side.

**Preventing this.** Add the category tags whenever a new listing is created.
