# Property pages return 404 errors

If your property pages show a 404 error while the rest of your site loads normally, WordPress is using outdated permalink rules for those pages.

**Why this happens.** A plugin update replaces the plugin files without rebuilding the permalink (rewrite) rules WordPress saves. Your property page URLs are left pointing at a stale rule table.

**Permanent fix.** Update the HomeRunner plugin to v2.4.9 or later. From v2.4.9 onward, every plugin update automatically rebuilds the permalink rules and repairs the table if property page rules are ever found to be missing.

**Fix it now on an older version.** If your property pages are currently showing 404 errors on an older version, rebuild the rules immediately:

1. In the WordPress admin, go to **Settings** then **Permalinks**.
2. Click **Save Changes**.

**If v2.4.9 is not offered.** If your update screen shows an older version as the latest available, go to **Dashboard** then **Updates** and click **Check Again** to refresh the available updates list.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
