# Data stops updating after a domain change

After you move your HomeRunner site to a new domain, property and reservation data on the site may stop updating. No error appears on the site.

**Why this happens.** The HomeRunner Central platform sends property and reservation updates to your site automatically, but it needs the correct address to deliver them. When a site moves to a new domain, the connection between Central and your website must be updated to point to the new address. Until it is, Central keeps sending all updates to the old address, which no longer exists, so your site receives no updates at all. These failed updates are silent on your end, and the site can fall out of sync without any visible error.

**What to do.** Let support know as soon as your new domain goes live. To restore updates, support:

1. Registers your new domain with Central.
2. Removes the old address.
3. Runs a full sync to catch up any data that fell behind.

If you change domains again in the future, contact support right away so the connection can be updated before your site falls out of sync.
