# Google Ads credit lost with PMS-hosted checkout

If guests complete checkout on your PMS's own domain (for example, Track's IRM checkout), Google Ads can stop getting credit for bookings. The booking is credited to the checkout domain instead of the campaign that drove it.

**Why this happens.** When a guest clicks **Book** and completes checkout on the PMS's domain, GA4 treats the return as a new session from a different source. The original ad click is dropped. The PMS's hosted checkout pages do not run your website's Google tag, so GA4 cross-domain settings alone cannot carry campaign credit across that hop.

**What you can do.** Two things are needed to fix this.

1. Add the PMS checkout domain to your GA4 data stream's cross-domain settings and unwanted-referrals list. This stops the checkout round trip from splitting the session in GA4 reports. This GA4 admin configuration is standard, and you can do it yourself in GA4 settings.
2. Set up an attribution layer that captures the visitor's ad click and campaign parameters before they leave for checkout, then reattaches them when the booking confirms. The attribution layer is site-specific and requires setup by HomeRunner, so contact HomeRunner to have it scoped for your site.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
