# BE-API missing from Guesty fee settings

You do not see the **BE-API** option in your Guesty fee settings before your website goes live. This is expected Guesty behavior.

**Why this happens.** Your website books through Guesty's Booking Engine API, which appears in fee settings as its own channel source named **BE-API**. Guesty only creates that source on your account when the first Booking Engine API reservation is completed. Until then, it cannot appear in fee source selection, so fee sync for the website channel cannot be configured in advance.

**What you can do.** To set this up:

1. Complete one reservation through your website. A test reservation is fine; it can be cancelled afterward.
2. Reopen the fee in Guesty. The **BE-API** row now appears in the **Sync Fee with channels** panel under **Manual Sources**.
3. Switch **BE-API** on for each mandatory fee and set **Include in Fare** to match your other channels.
4. Repeat for every property or listing, since the toggle is per fee, per listing.

**Include in Fare** folds the fee into the nightly accommodation price and taxes it with the rent. **Deduct from fare** shows the fee as its own line in the guest's price breakdown.
