# Amenities missing from WPML Taxonomy Translation

If the amenities taxonomy does not appear in the dropdown on **WPML → Taxonomy Translation**, it has not been turned on for translation yet.

**Why this happens.** WPML splits this across two screens. The translate screen stays empty until you first turn the taxonomy on in the settings screen.

**What to do.**

1. Go to **WPML → Settings**.
2. Scroll to **Taxonomies Translation** and find the amenities row.
3. Set it to **Translatable - use translation if available or fallback to default language**.
4. Save.
5. Go to **WPML → Taxonomy Translation** and pick the amenities taxonomy from the dropdown.
6. Click the plus icon in each language column to add translations.
