# Granting HomeRunner access to your GTM container

If you granted HomeRunner access to your Google Tag Manager account only, the account appears with no containers and in read-only mode, so nothing can be created or published.

**Why this happens.** Account-level access in Google Tag Manager does not include the container your website loads.

**What to do.** Grant **Edit** and **Publish** permissions on the specific container (the one with your GTM-XXXXXXX ID):

1. Open the container.
2. Go to **Admin**.
3. Open **User Management** under the container column.
4. Add the HomeRunner email with **Edit** and **Publish** permissions.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
