# Bookings tracked as generate_lead in GA4

Some bookings appear in GA4 as a generate_lead event instead of purchase.

**Why this happens.** Bookings that arrive as an inquiry or request fire generate_lead rather than purchase. They keep that event type even after your PMS confirms them.

**What you can do.** You have two options:

1. Include generate_lead alongside purchase when you reconcile totals.
2. Enable **Trigger Purchase on Inquiry** in the HomeRunner plugin under **Advanced settings > Analytics** so that all reservations fire a purchase event.
