# Same-day bookings allowed despite check-in cutoff

Guests can still make same-day or last-minute bookings on your site, even though you have set a check-in cutoff.

**Why this happens.** Your site enforces advance notice only through a setting that is off by default.

**How to turn it on.**

1. In the HomeRunner property settings, enable **Validate advance booking hour**.
2. Set **Advance Notice Hours** to the minimum number of hours required before check-in (for example 24 or 48).
3. Save.

**Advance Notice Hours** is a site-wide value. While it is set, it applies to every listing and overrides any per-listing advance notice.

**Checking that it works.** Try to book a same-day or next-day stay. The booking is stopped with a message that the property requires at least that many hours of advance notice. The calendar may still let a guest select the dates. The block is applied when your site prices the stay and when the guest tries to complete the booking.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
