# Booking widget dates are cut off

The dates in the check-in and check-out fields of your booking widget appear cut off.

**Why this happens.** The widget date format defaults to the full month name, for example 'November 17, 2026'. On many themes, this is too wide for the two side-by-side fields.

**What you can do.** Go to **HomeRunner > Settings > Booking Widget > Date format** and change it to a shorter pattern, such as 'MMM d, yyyy' (which renders as 'Nov 17, 2026') or 'M/d/yyyy'. If you prefer to keep the long format, you can widen the fields using your theme CSS instead.

The checkout summary uses a separate, shorter date format, which you configure under **Reservation settings**.
