# Downloading and updating HomeRunner plugins

The latest release of every HomeRunner plugin, with its changelog, is on the downloads page: [https://homerunner.io/downloads](https://homerunner.io/downloads). You can update a plugin in two ways.

**From the Plugins screen.** In WordPress admin, open **Plugins**. HomeRunner plugins show the standard "There is a new version available" notice with an **update now** link, the same as any other plugin.

**By hand.**

1. Download the plugin's ZIP from the downloads page.
2. In WordPress admin, go to **Plugins**, **Add New**, **Upload Plugin**.
3. Choose the ZIP.
4. When WordPress reports that the plugin is already installed, choose **Replace current with uploaded**.

Your settings are kept and the plugin stays active.

After updating, the Plugins screen shows the new version number. To avoid falling behind, turn on **Enable auto-updates** for the plugin on the same screen.
