# Request-to-book hold (hours) setting

The **Request-to-book hold (hours)** setting applies only when your site uses a request-to-book (inquiry) flow.

When a guest submits an inquiry, HomeRunner can hold the dates in your PMS for the number of hours you specify. This gives you time to review the request and accept or decline it.

This setting has no effect on instant bookings.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
