# Business restriction error when getting quotes

When a quote is requested for a property, you may see the error 'All rate plans are not applicable, as we found business restriction'. The API call that gets property quotes returns a 400 status code with this message.

**Why this happens.** Business rules or restrictions are configured that prevent any of the available rate plans from being applied to the requested booking parameters, such as the dates, the number of guests, or the property.
