# Site still looks broken after a fix

Your site has been fixed and works for other people, but on your computer it still looks broken.

**Why this happens.** Your browser saved a copy of the broken file and is still using it. Websites tell browsers to store script and style files for a long time so pages load faster on repeat visits. If a file was broken when your browser first stored it, that broken copy stays. A normal reload does not replace it, because the browser sees the same filename and assumes it already has the file.

**What you can do.** A hard refresh forces the browser to download fresh copies of the files:

**Mac:** Cmd + Shift + R

**Windows:** Ctrl + F5

You can also confirm the site is fixed by opening it in a private or incognito window, which starts with no saved files.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
