# License & Updates shows old plugin version

After a new HomeRunner plugin release is announced, your **License & Updates** page in WordPress may still show the previous version for a while.

**Why this happens.** Updates reach your site through HomeRunner's update service. WordPress then refreshes its list of available updates on its own schedule, so the new version appears only after the release is live on the service and WordPress re-checks.

**What you can do.** There is nothing to change on your end and no setting to toggle. Once the new version appears on your **License & Updates** page, you can apply the update from there. If it has not appeared after about a day, or you need it sooner, contact support and support can push it through manually.
