# AI Agents JSON snippet in Claude Desktop

The JSON snippet shown on the **AI Agents** page does not work in the Claude Desktop app.

**Why this happens.** The snippet is in Claude Code's project config format (.mcp.json). The Claude Desktop app does not read HTTP servers from that file, so the snippet will not work there.
