# Editing or deleting HomeRunner plugin files

Do not hand-edit or delete any files inside the HomeRunner plugin.

**Why this matters.** Manual edits to plugin files are overwritten by the next plugin update, and they can take your site down.

**Removing tags from other plugins.** If a tag was added by another plugin, such as Site Kit, remove it from that plugin's own settings in wp-admin. No file editing is involved.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
