# Deleted properties still in XML sitemap

Your XML sitemap can still list property pages that you have deleted, and those URLs now return 404 errors.

**Why this happens.** Rank Math caches the sitemap, so trashing a property does not always clear that cache automatically.

**How to fix it.**

1. In WordPress, go to **Rank Math > Sitemap Settings** and click **Save Changes**. Rank Math regenerates the sitemap and the trashed URLs drop out.
2. Empty the property trash so the posts do not linger.
3. Open /property-sitemap.xml and check that only live listings appear.
