# Same-day bookings despite a PMS lead time

Your PMS has a same-day booking lead time set, but your website still accepts same-day bookings.

**Why this happens.** The lead-time value from your PMS does sync to your site, but the site does not act on it unless advance-notice enforcement is switched on. That switch is off by default. On most sites, the lead-time value is present but inactive, and same-day bookings stay open right up to check-in.

**If you do not want a cutoff.** You usually have nothing to change. The synced value is not blocking anything.

**If you want the cutoff enforced.** Turn it on in your HomeRunner property settings with **Validate advance booking hour**, rather than changing anything in your PMS.

**Before you change the PMS setting.** The lead-time field in your PMS often governs last-minute bookings on other channels such as Airbnb and Vrbo. Changing it to zero opens last-minute bookings everywhere that field applies, not only on your direct booking site. If your goal is only to change direct-booking behavior, the HomeRunner setting is the safer place to do it.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
