# GA4 receiving events without its measurement ID

Your GA4 property is receiving purchase events, but the measurement ID loaded on your site belongs to a different property.

**Why this happens.** When a Google Ads account is linked to a GA4 property, Google configures the Ads tag to forward every event it sees to that linked GA4 property. A site that loads only the Ads tag plus a separate GA4 measurement ID still delivers page views, view_item, begin_checkout, and purchase events to the linked property. This is why Google Ads conversion import works even though your site is not directly loading your property's measurement ID. The second measurement ID on the site usually belongs to a property created during the site build, for example through Site Kit under an agency's Google account.

**What you can do.**

1. Put your own GA4 property's measurement ID in HomeRunner's **Conversion Tracking** settings so the site reports to one property you own.
2. Check GA4 **DebugView** or **Realtime** to confirm each event appears once and only once.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
