# Guesty check-in and check-out day restrictions

Yes. When you restrict check-in or check-out to certain days of the week in Guesty, HomeRunner greys out those days on your property pages so guests cannot select them.

**How to set it up.** Create the restriction in Guesty as a rate strategy rule that marks specific weekdays as closed to arrival or closed to departure. This is the same rule you would use for Airbnb. HomeRunner reads those flags from your Guesty listing calendar and greys out the affected days in both the availability calendar and the booking widget on each property page. Guests cannot select a greyed-out day, and a tooltip explains why the day is unavailable. Seasonal rules set the same way in Guesty, such as a fixed holiday block, come through in the same way. The rule lives entirely in Guesty, so updating it there is all that is needed. No changes are required on the WordPress side.

**Limitation in site-wide search.** The site-wide search box, which searches across all properties at once, does not apply per-listing weekday rules on its own. If a guest enters a restricted arrival day there, they see no results rather than a clear explanation.

**What you can do.** If all your properties share the same changeover rule, the most reliable layout is to display all properties and let guests pick dates on the individual property page, where the calendar handles the greying out correctly. If you also need restricted days greyed out in the search picker, with a hover note and unavailable dates reflected across all properties, contact support to have it configured for your site.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
