# Web address after renaming a property

When you correct a property name, the web address for that listing does not automatically shorten or change to match.

**Why this happens.** Listing addresses are locked at first sync, so later name changes do not affect them.

**What you can do.** If you want the address updated to match the corrected name, contact support. Support can change it with a redirect in place, so existing links keep working.
