# Password reset email did not arrive

You requested a password reset on your site login page, but the reset email has not shown up in your inbox. If the login page accepted the reset request, your account still exists.

**Why this happens.** The reset email most likely went to your Spam folder. Mail search skips that folder, so a search will not find it.

**What to do.**

1. Open your Spam folder directly.
2. Look for a message from noreply@ your website's domain with the subject "[Your Site Name] Password Reset".
3. Check the date on the email. Each reset link is valid for 24 hours. If the email is older than that, go back to the login page, click **Lost your password?** again, and check Spam for the new email.

If the email is not in Spam either, contact support so your account can be checked from the server side.
