# Property URL keeps old name after rename

After you rename a property in your PMS, the property page URL on your website still shows the old name.

**Why this happens.** The property page URL is set the first time a property syncs to your website and stays fixed after that, so any links you have shared keep working. A later rename in your PMS updates the property name and description but leaves the URL alone.

**Changing the URL.** Edit the property's slug in WordPress:

1. Go to **Properties**.
2. Hover over the property and click **Quick Edit**.
3. Update the **Slug** field.

You can also ask HomeRunner support to make the change for you.

WordPress automatically forwards the old URL to the new one, so existing links, bookmarks, and search results continue to work.

**If you use Hospitable direct bookings.** Also update the property's website URL in Hospitable under **Direct Bookings**, then **Website**, so it points at the new address.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
