# OwnerRez exclusion tag not hiding listing

You added an exclusion tag to a listing in OwnerRez, but the listing count has not dropped and the listing still appears on your website.

**Why this happens.** Exclusion tags are applied per listing during the sync that runs after both the tag and the setting are in place.

**What to check.** Make sure the tag name on the listing in OwnerRez exactly matches one of the names in the connection's exclusion-tag setting, including spelling and capitalization. Extra spaces around commas are fine.

Once a sync completes, the excluded listing shows as inactive on the connection and disappears from your website. You can trigger a manual sync, or if you prefer not to, the hourly automatic sync picks up the change as well.
