# Request-to-book reservations with no card in Guesty

If a request-to-book reservation in Guesty shows no card on file, make card collection part of your acceptance routine and have the guest add a card before you approve the request.

1. Open the reservation in Guesty.
2. On the **Payments** tab, use **Request payment method** to have the guest add a working card.
3. Approve the request once a card is on file.

**Why approve after the card is added.** This catches the problem while the guest is still engaged, instead of after the request is accepted and the dates are blocked.
