# Sticky tags for property positioning

Sticky tags are an override that locks properties into exact positions in your property list.

**How to add them.** In your PMS, add a tag that starts with **[sticky]** followed by the position number. For example, add "[sticky] 1" to the property you want to show first and "[sticky] 2" to the next one. Use each number only once. To make a property always appear at the end of the list, add a **[bottom]** tag instead.

**How they behave.** A sticky-tagged property holds its position no matter which sort order is set or which one the guest selects. Because of this, sticky tags work best for pinning a handful of properties, not for arranging your whole portfolio.

**When changes appear.** Tag changes come through on the next PMS sync, which typically runs hourly. Allow up to an hour for the new order to show on your site.

**Tag prefix format.** Tag prefixes can be customized per site, for example square brackets instead of parentheses. If a [sticky] tag does not take effect after a sync, support can confirm the prefix format configured for your site.
