# Translating property amenities into other languages

If you have translated your property descriptions but the amenities on your property pages still show in English, you can translate the amenities as well. Amenities are stored as a standard WordPress taxonomy, so a translation plugin can handle them.

**Translating amenities with WPML.**

1. Set the property amenity taxonomy to Translatable. Go to **WPML → Settings**, scroll to **Taxonomies Translation**, find the amenities row, set it to **Translatable - use translation if available or fallback to default language**, and save.
2. Go to **WPML → Taxonomy Translation** and translate each amenity term into your target languages.
3. The amenity lists on your property pages then switch to the visitor's language automatically.

The nightly sync from your PMS does not overwrite these translations. New amenities added later in your PMS come in untranslated and need a quick pass in WPML.
