# Search bar: removing the destination field

The search bar on a landing page can show only the fields you choose, so you can remove the destination dropdown and keep the rest.

**How it works.** The **primary_filter_fields** attribute on your explorer shortcode controls which fields the search bar shows. If you leave **where** (also accepted as **zone**) out of that list, the destination dropdown is removed entirely. Results stay scoped by the shortcode's own **city**, **location**, or **group** attribute, so guests still see only the relevant inventory. The same attribute works on the legacy [hfsync-explorer] tag.

1. Add **primary_filter_fields** to your explorer shortcode with only the fields you want. To keep only dates, guests, and the filters button, use: [homerunner-explorer primary_filter_fields="date, guests, additional-filters" city="your-city"]
2. Leave **where** (or **zone**) out of the list.
3. Save the page and verify that the search bar shows only the fields you specified.

Consider adding a link to your full search page so guests who want to browse a different market still have a path there.
