# Removing a Hostaway listing from your website

Your HomeRunner website mirrors the listings in your Hostaway account, so you remove a property in Hostaway, not on the website.

**To remove a listing:**

1. In Hostaway, check the exact listing name before you make any change, since similar units can sit next to each other.
2. Archive the listing in Hostaway, or delete it if you do not need its history.
3. Wait for the next sync. Once the listing is removed from your Hostaway listings, the property page drops off your website automatically.

After the sync, the property page returns a not-found page, and the unit disappears from the listing grid and any resort pages.

**Why Inactive is not enough.** Setting a listing to **Inactive** in Hostaway only stops the listing from going to the booking channels. The listing stays in the listing feed your website reads, so the page remains visible.

If you need a page removed sooner, or you archived a listing by mistake and want it restored, contact support with the property link.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
