# Showing property cards on the homepage

You can have your homepage show property cards right away, instead of a search form that guests must fill in first.

**How to set it up.** Place the Explorer shortcode in its own full-width section on your homepage, with the grid enabled and the map disabled:

`[homerunner-explorer filter="1" grid="1" map="0" primary_filter_fields="date, guests"]`

If your site uses the legacy tag `homegest-explorer`, you can keep it. Both tags render the same Explorer.

**What your guests see.** Property cards load immediately without requiring a search. The date and guest controls appear above the feed as a compact filter bar, and changing them updates the cards in place without a page reload.

**Keep the Explorer in its own section.** Put the Explorer in its own page section rather than nesting it inside a styled search-box block. Otherwise, the feed inherits that block's width and card styling.

**If you use Searchbar Pro.** If your site runs the HomeRunner Toolkit with the **Searchbar Pro** module enabled, the same shortcode automatically shows the compact Searchbar Pro bar instead of the default filter form. On phones, this appears as a single tap-to-open search pill. For single-location sites, turn off the **Where** field in the **Searchbar Pro** settings.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
