# Google Vacation Rentals display name with Guesty

Google Vacation Rentals shows the nickname of the Booking Engine API instance your listings are connected to in Guesty. To change the name Google displays, you change that nickname.

**Why this happens.** The Open API application name has no effect on what Google displays. The Booking Engine API instance nickname is the only setting to change.

**If the nickname can be edited:**

1. Go to the **Booking Engine API** dashboard in Guesty.
2. Open the row menu for the connected instance.
3. Rename the instance.

The keys stay the same. Google re-syncs Guesty data every 2 to 3 days. If the old name is still showing after that window, disconnect and reconnect the listings in the Google dashboard inside Guesty.

**If the nickname cannot be edited:**

1. Create a new Booking Engine API instance with the correct nickname and the same settings (booking mode, property selection, fees).
2. Contact HomeRunner support to switch the connection to the new instance.
3. Reconnect your listings to the new instance in the Google dashboard in Guesty.
4. Remove the listings from the old instance.
5. Delete the old instance once the switch is confirmed complete.
